Cheers to 2019!

We have really enjoyed our first Christmas as Dartmouth residents and have had such a great time sampling what local businesses had to offer.

We started the festivities buy 'Shopping Local' and bought lots of produce from local deli's to put in goody bags to take back 'up north' to our friends and family.

We got some great produce from The Deli at Dartmouth, Saveurs, Dartmouth Ice-Cream and some fabulous curry sauces from Namoh all put together in fabulous bags from Discover Dartmouth (though we wont mention that David went around helping himself to leaflets which he had no idea were chargeable and had to go back and settle his debts before he got a bad name!!)

We went to a couple of lovely Carol Concerts - Carols at the Barn with Glo Torbay at Torre Abbey and also one at The Flaval Church too where we had a lovely time and were served delicious mince pies and mulled wine and lastly off to Bayards Cove braving the drizzle but what a fabulous atmosphere there.

New Year was a first too for us in Dartmouth and what a fabulous atmosphere with many people in fancy dress going from pub to pub. We met some great people on our way around and celebrated at midnight outside the boat float with fireworks! We even managed to get a taxi home, thank you Mickeys Taxis for stepping in at the last minute as we hadn't prepared in advance and booked anything.

In between Christmas and New Year, we have benefitted from the lovely mild weather and had a couple of coffee stops up at the Dartmouth Castle Tea Rooms where we sat outside enjoying the view and and Platform One where we sat inside and equally enjoyed the view and we even got a little visit from a Robin who kept coming back to join us,

So there we have it, our first Christmas and New Year as official Dartmouth residents and here we are back in the office on 2nd January raring to go for our 2019 adventure, something tells me that our 2019 Christmas and New Year maybe a little more hectic!

The Fizz Boat launch is getting closer and closer....
